CUMBRIAN SPLENDOUR

On a very wet and cold January  weekend we drove around the area in North West England known as the Lake District. The scenery was spectacular, but rather awsome, stark and menacing, high mountains, and steep valleys. Then all of a sudden, the sun came out and bathed the view in golden light, I could not believe the difference !  My camera could not fully capture the beauty, so on return I tried to put on canvas the  incrdible majesty of the beautiful mountain scene.
